CONSERVATION PARTNERS IS A SITE-BASED, PRACTICAL CONSERVATION ORGANISATION

RESTORING AND PROTECTING HABITAT FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS

FUNDING AND IMPLEMENTING EXISTING RECOVERY PLANS

WORKING WITH LANDHOLDERS TO FIND SOLUTIONS

We work with people or organisations who own or control land with significant biodiversity values, helping them assemble the necessary skills and expertise to restore habitat and address conservation problems on the ground.

We strive for compatibility with other land-use values. LEARN MORE.

FLAGSHIP PROJECTS

ARTEMIS STATION

CAPE YORK PENINSULA

Artemis Nature Fund was established in 2019 to develop

and implement a threat abatement program for

the endangered Golden-shouldered Parrot on

Cape York, Queensland.

BUFF-BREASTED BUTTON-QUAIL

CAPE YORK PENINSULA

There has been no proof of the survival of the Buff-breasted Button-Quail since 1922. Conservation Partners is putting experts in place to look for evidence and, if found, develop an action plan.

CHIDNA STATION

NORTH-WESTERN HIGHLANDS

Chidna Station supports four threatened species, including the Purple-necked Rock-wallaby. We are doing applied research on these species to inform management actions.

NIGHT PARROT

SOUTH-WESTERN QUEENSLAND

Conservation Partners is conducting surveys

to find new populations of this enigmatic

bird in western Queensland.

Practical outcomes, starting with RELATIONSHIPS

Conservation across all land tenures is essential for the long-term protection of nature. However, it can be a challenge getting the balance right between competing land uses, limited time and tight budgets.

It all boils down to establishing and maintaining genuine and trusted relationships. We work collaboratively with landholders, custodians, managers and government agencies to develop and implement practical conservation actions.

We use existing knowledge, and use robust science to fill gaps and monitor our actions.

WHO WE WORK WITH

LANDHOLDERS

Often, landholders are willing to undertake conservation actions, but lack the time and money to do so. We collaborate with them in development of long-term management plans.

GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

We work closely with government agencies to ensure our work aligns with their priorities.

FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE

First Nations are part of our fabric, from direct employment to partnerships. We acknowledge and celebrate the fundamental role they have in conservation.
